ABOUT ME

I am a highly motivated, curious, and creative professional technical artist.

As a queer POC technical artist, I have always enjoyed writing scripts both in code and for film/game production. I was fortunate enough during Summer 2024 to work as an Animation Technician Intern on artist tools  in a production environment at Pixar.  I also supported animators directly with resolving technical issues. My internship concluded with a final tool design in Figma that could be an add on to a proprietary animation tool set.  I am currently a student pursuing game design/development and virtual production certificates at Berkeley City College.

My 8+ years of health technology startup experience has helped me in 3 notable ways:

1)  Communicates well between different disciplines (technical, artists, business)

2) Learning on the go in agile environments is the only way I know how to learn

3) Project focused learning ( I like to see the big picture as well as the details but feel comfortable contributing to both)

Skills: Rigging, Modeling, Texturing, Animating, Lighting, Simulation, UX, Game Design, and Compositing.  I have developed python scripts for Maya and HDAs for Houdini with the goal of always creating seamless workflows for artists. I also have some experience in Blender.

Languages: Python, Javascript, C++, VEX, MEL, USD

My hobbies range from working with 3D materials such as moldable plastics to watercolor and pen art to building miniatures.

Last projects I worked on

I have also had the rewarding opportunity in my past work lives to help build and manage the deploying of a robot who helps patients. The empathetic personality and the lives she has touched are what helped me fall in love with our little Mabu. She has been featured in WIRED(0:57), Time, Fast Company, and the Today Show(2:20).

Hiring status
